Dating back to the 14th century, this mill was supplied by a bief (mill race) that was filled in 1956 during the creation of Avenue de Verdun. The mill reflects Brignais’ long industrial evolution: powered by water until 1864, steam until 1926, and electricity until 1972, when activity ceased.
